Working in the challenging terrain of Uttarakhand, she was a pioneer in RF's relief efforts and is highly skilled in organizing women for community-driven initiatives and livelihood projects. Hemlata has also contributed significantly to AKRSP(I) in the tribal regions of Gujarat, where she excelled in field research, meticulous documentation, conceptualising new proposals, onboarding new donors and managing partner relationships.
